« on: February 21, 2011, 09:25:49 »
Making great progress with program, I would like to know if it is at all possible to place the backup  on a memory stick and of course be able to move it onto another computer. If possible I will find out how but I just need to know if it can be done. I am on Linux

It can be done, yes. In the program, go to File=>Backup and in the dialog that appears, choose a directory where to save the backup. If you memory stick (or folder you want) isn't in the list that pops up, you can select "Other..." on the bottom of that list to browse through the available media.

On the second computer, just choose File=>Backup=>Restore and select the Pigeon Planner backup file.

3 things to note:
 - Only do this if the Pigeon Planner version is exactly the same on the 2 computers.
 - The current database will be overwritten if you restore a backup.
 - The photo album won't show any pictures on the other computer, because they aren't on that hard drive. Thumbnails in the details view will still work though.
