Search function
« on: September 14, 2011, 18:49:24 »
Dear Timo,

The search function is a bit weird (ctrl+F), it only search for result, but not allow view/editing, and when close dialog box it went back to all results.

If user has really large list  ::) it could be a problem.

And can you please add more options to the [filter pigeons] search, eg: year/season; Sire; Dam.

At the main coloum allow to show/hid Sire and Dam for quick reference.

Excuse me for so many ideas  :P

You are correct, the search/filter are a bit weird to use. I'm thinking about rewriting it all, but haven't got around making a decent plan for it. How to actually implement it, how it should look and behave, etc. Maybe even join the two together in some way.

Note that you can quickly search through the bandnumbers by clicking on the main list so it has focus, and then just start typing. This does only search in the bandnumbers and for exact matches only though.
